Benny the Bear

Benny is the class bear and last Friday it was Dylan's turn to have him for the weekend. He was very excited about it. Benny the Bear went everywhere with us and I think he had a pretty good weekend.

Dylan put Benny's pyjamas on in the evening (and dressed him again in the morning.) Quite a difficult task if your paws are as large as Benny's!

the weather was great so we spent a lot of time outside

Benny went on the round about,

and on the bike,

and on the swing and climbing rack and...

 quite a few slides

before they collapsed on the couch for some relaxing a few hours later!

We were all quite sad that he had to go back to school. Here is Dylan off to school with Benny and Benny's heavy suitcase! One of the things in his suitcase is a book. This is to record all of his adventures so we wrote a story about his weekend and stuck in some photos and stickers. The teacher then read it out for all the kids at school that morning.

Georgie

Travis loves George. Georgie gets carried around, kissed, comforted, fed, nappy-changed and put to bed, just like any other baby. Here they are, the curious little monkeys.

the zoo

We went to the zoo, the last Friday of Dylan's school holiday. The boys had a ball, as usual and we walked for miles and saw loads of animals. Dylan's favourite were the lions (and the tigers) and Travis liked the giraffes the best this time around.

Travis looked everywhere for the sharks... (and when we eventually found them in the aquarium tunnel, I forgot to take a photo!)

Then we caught the train back to the entrance... and got a last glance at the animals on our way past.

It was a beautiful, sunny, feels-like-spring day today and we spent most of it outside. Here the boys are at our playground across the road. We go there fairly often but it's a lot more fun lately because Travis is finally big enough to enjoy it properly too.
