Could they be related?

Ok, so he probably won't thank me for this photo in 10 years time...

holiday in the berg

Thanks granny and granpa for organising a lovely weekend in the berg, at busman's nek, for all of us!
The best part was swimming of course, and what a pool to swim in, although it was a little cold! There was also plenty of time for warming up in the sun.

Easter (at sunninghill and in the berg)

About 5 seconds after I took this photo Dylan was in Marko's arms... he told us quite firmly that he was scared of the big bunny and avoided it the rest of the morning.

We left the bunny behind us and drove to the berg, Easter here was a lot more fun. First we hunted for eggs and surprises in our chalet. Which one first, the bunny or the egg? After that we had an easter egg hunt around the pool. Dylan was one of the smallest and didn't stand much chance but lucky for him we found one! (Ok, so I wasn't about to let the other kids get all the eggs and we managed to find one by running (or rather me dragging Dylan) very fast and me just about standing on the first egg I saw before anyone else could get to it... Dylan was very pleased when he 'found' the egg but one wasn't enough. Is it ever?

(no) sleep

We're in Johannesburg visiting granny and grandpa and enjoying the sun. We decided to let Dylan sleep in a big bed, mainly because the baby cot is a bit too small for him. He really enjoys this new 'freedom' cos after putting him to bed, he keeps getting out and happily comes back to the living room. Making him go to sleep takes long and requires mom or dad to be on the bed with him to convince him sleep isn't a bad thing for little boys...

One advantage of his room is that the doorhandle is just too high for him, so he can't get out of his room when the door is closed. Today, for his afternoon nap, he was 'locked in' and he was banging the door and generally being unhappy for over an hour, before he finally went to sleep. This is how we found him:

climbing is fun!

Dylan loves to climb... The only problem I have with taking him to play is that he generally expects me to join in. Luckily I was the one with the camera!Ok, I admit, he had a little help getting to the top!
