I'm not tired!

Dylan has decided he doesn't need his afternoon nap anymore! It does mean that sometimes he doesn't last until bedtime, even though he insists he isn't tired:

On Sunday we went for a lovely dinner at Petra and Rob's. Dylan didn't sleep in the afternoon but behaved very well. He happily played with Nadia until after 9pm when we finally went home. He fell asleep in the car. When Marko carried him inside and asked if he could walk up the stairs, he said yes. This photo was taken 5 seconds later:

sweet dreams

Last night, Travis was just too sweet!

Actually, he was a total brat. He didn't want to sleep and he DID want to cry... but he finally fell asleep, cuddled up on Marko. Then he started to smile and to giggle in his sleep. Of course all tears and tantrums are then forgotten. As I said, last night Travis was just too sweet!

These photos were taken last week (week 24)...

'chubby cheeks' Piet

dag Sinterklaasje

Sinterklaas was even more fun than last year! Dylan was brave enough to go and shake his hand when he came to visit the school. In the evening the kids were spoilt when Sint and Piet dropped TWO huge bags of presents at the door! When we got home Dylan found another present on his pillow, what a happy boy! Today Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet head back to Spain...
...and I'm off to buy a Christmas tree next week!

Zwarte Piet!

Who ate all the pepernoten?
Sinterklaas arrived (back in Holland) a couple of weeks ago and Dylan is old enough to join in the fun. He is loving all of it. We went to watch the arrival in Rotterdam and Dylan was a little nervous at first, but once he got sweets from one of the Pieten, he was sold. Especially when he saw them dancing on the wall. He was quite happy to sing along and dance and shout and wave at the big man himself.
He has also been putting his shoe by the fireplace (uhm, heater) once a week and singing very loudly in the hope that the Sint will hear him and bring him presents... oh the excitement!
'Sinterklaas kapoentje,''Gooi wat in mijn schoentje, (EN) gooi wat in mijn laarsje'...'Dank U Sinterklaasje'On Friday morning, the Sint comes to visit Dylan's school and in the evening we are off to celebrate with the family... and then we can start looking forward to Christmas. I love December!
