absolutely no singing!

The first people to arrive were Oma and Opa! With a very large present! The start of a lovely afternoon with family and friends. Travis enjoyed every minute of it and loved all his presents.

 

Travis decided on a dinosaur cake this year! 

He had only 2 requests! The first was that no one was allowed to sing. He was so insistent about this, that we didn't. He did agree to blow out candles though! 

 

 

 

 

 The second request was that he get to ice his own cake!

So after helping me with the dinosaur, the kids all got started on icing their own cupcakes.

 Travis had a lovely time icing them.

at some stage near the end of the afternoon they decided to attack Erik Jan!

I am not sure how or why it started but I think the little ones won!

first day at school

The day after his birthday meant that Travis got to start primary school. He was very excited and when he was getting dressed, said: 'From now on I get to go to school for always!' Lets see how he feels about it all in 5 years time...

 

 He joined the groep 0 class and has a lovely teacher, Juf Marieke. He settled in straight away and absolutely loves it! I can't say I have gotten used to the quiet Friday mornings yet though.

Travis has been waiting for ages to turn 4. Here is the happy birthday boy!

Once all the presents were opened it was time to get dressed and head to the creche for his farewell-birthday party. 



Georgie

Travis loves George. Georgie gets carried around, kissed, comforted, fed, nappy-changed and put to bed, just like any other baby. Here they are, the curious little monkeys.

Last Friday, Travis and I baked biscuits. Dylan and I used to bake often and I'm not sure why it took me so long to get started with Travis... we had loads of fun and they turned out very tasty! He asked me every night, for a week, if we were going to bake biscuits again tomorrow.

                             

2 1/2 years

Forgot about these... Amazing how much he has changed since I took all of these about 2 months ago.
