the bee's knees
Travis and his bee buddies! He concentrates very hard on them and enjoys the music that accompanies them buzzing around above his head.
Madurodam
Tuesday was Nanny's last day so we went to Madurodam, Hollands smallest city. Here we got to see miniature versions of all the historical buildings, bridges, museums, churches etc that can be found throughout the country.
Pure torture for a car-crazy 2 1/2 year old though as he could look at, but not touch any of, the 4542 model trucks and cars, and 13 trains. In his defence, the 'please keep off the grass' sign was far away...

Travis's Oma and Opa are very proud of him! It's hard to believe he is not their 1st but their 7th grandchild!
the zoo
Yesterday we headed off to Blijdorp, the Rotterdam zoo. Dylan was very excited about seeing the elephants so we visited them when we arrived and again before we left.
We saw loads of animals, birds and fish!
Dylan wasn't the only one enjoying himself...
We walked for miles. Where's Dylan?Aha, helping Granny with his pram!

Shower time on the weekend always follows the same pattern... First Marko, then Dylan, then me. Today we added Travis to the mix, he seemed to like it almost as much as Dylan does!

Nanny
Granny is here to visit for a few weeks and we are all very happy to see her. Dylan is especially happy because he thinks that she flew over to be his personal entertainer and playmate... she has yet to prove him wrong, spoilt boy! No need to worry about Travis, he gets his fair share of attention too! How are we going to manage when she leaves?

where's Dylan?
Yesterday Dylan went to bed for his afternoon nap, as usual. An hour later, when I went up to check on him, he wasn't in his bed. He also wasn't in our bed or Travis's bed or Nanny's bed!
This is where I eventually found him.

week 3
Marko only worked afternoons this week so it meant I got to sleep late while the boys went downstairs to play. Travis got in a lot of sleep himself...what's new?He also was on the receiving end of a lot of cuddles and attention from Dylan who doesn't let an opportunity pass to hold 'his' baby.
Funny face mama!
What do the boys get up to while I'm asleep?

born on the 4th of July...
...or not! For months we have waited, in anticipation, for the 4th of July and yet it came and went without much fuss. Travis is already 2 weeks old!
Like most babies he sleeps alot. Although his cuddle time coincides with our dinner time, whatever time we have dinner, and he has a cry hour in what used to be our quiet time, the little angel has slept through from 23.30 to 05.30 the last few nights! No, we are certainly not complaining!!

Here is Travis in the bath and Dylan helping. Travis also gets treated to a bathtime song, what a lucky baby.
